OLD FRIENDS
06 MARCH 2024

A vast landscape observed up close. A desert rock, textured with traces of instant coffee delicately present on the canvas. At the bottom, two scorpions engage in a captivating struggle. Is it a dance of love or a fierce battle to the death? The artist doesn't provide precise indications, leaving the interpretation open-ended. The desolate mountain transforms into a natural arena for these two small gladiators. Explorations of nature, unconditional love, or simply the camaraderie of old friends... The artist's studio, at that time, was frequented by scorpions residing in the building. Occasionally, they were noted in various parts of the space. They simply live their lives beside us, attending to their affairs, allowing us to coexist without interfering with each other.
